Correvit® SFII: 2-Axis Optical Sensors
Kistler Correvit® SFII Sensor Measures World Record for Acceleration
From 0-100 km/h in Under Two Seconds
1.513 seconds. Never before had an electric race car accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h at such a pace. The previous world record of 1.779 seconds—set by a Formula Student racing team from the University of Stuttgart—stood until June 22, 2016. The record was shattered on the very first attempt on a 120-meter course set up at the military airport in Dübendorf. The Swiss electric racing car “Grimsel” achieved the 100 km/h mark in just 30 meters. By recording the magical milestone, the Kistler Correvit® SFII sensor played a key part in setting the world record.
Reliable Partner from the Outset
In a world record attempt—where victory or defeat is determined in a few thousands of a second—precise measurement data take on critical importance. With over 50 years’ experience in extreme-range measurements, Kistler has always been a solid partner of AMZ.
"Kistler has lent us its support for four seasons now and has become an integral part of our success. When we started planning for the world record, it was clear from the outset that we would again rely on the Correvit® SFII sensor to ensure efficient control and, of course, record the official time measurement. We were delighted when Kistler assured us its full support."
