KiBox Lab is a modular data acquisition device supporting multiple measurement modules. Up to 16 amplifier modules can be used in one system. High-end charge modules (Type 5077A) with BNC connectors are used to provide the best piezoelectric measurement results. Additionally, an input module for voltage (5270B) sensors and signals is supported. KiBox Lab provides data acquisition (DAQ) to record your measurements directly on the device. A bandwidth of up to 2.5 MSps per channel delivers impressive signal resolution and precise peak detection. The KiBox Lab measurement system is configured and operated on a web interface, conveniently accessible by a standard web browser. The graphical user interface not only offers a simple and intuitive way to configure the device, but also provides live charts to indicate your live measurement values. Alternatively, the device can be controlled via our PTS App data acquisition and evaluation software (Type 2935A) or the provided REST API.

Thanks to advanced signal processing technology, KiBox Lab offers impressive flexibility. The frequencies of the high-pass, low-pass and notch filters can be directly entered as numeric values in Hertz. The input signals can be flexibly routed to the analog outputs. The virtual channel functionality allows for real-time weighted summation of different input signals. Results of virtual channel calculations can be used as input signals in other virtual channel calculations. When using Kistler multicomponent dynamometers, the resulting force as well as the three components of the resulting torque vector can be calculated.

Furthermore, the browser-based data download allows the acquired data to be processed in any analysis software. For more advanced tasks or direct analysis, KiBox Lab can be integrated directly into third party systems thanks to the provided REST API.

With its ability to measure quasi-static charge signals, KiBox Lab and its high-end charge amplifier modules (5077A) are particularly suitable for piezoelectric force and pressure measurements where precision matters most. Typical applications include (micro-)vibration testing, multicomponent cutting force measurements and high-speed pressure analysis.
