Measurement technology for machining applications

Kistler offers advanced measurement technology for various machining and cutting applications.

Be it milling, drilling, turning, grinding, or other machining processes – measurement technology helps in research and development as well as in production to increase efficiency and quality and reduce costs.

To achieve the ideal machining process and zero-defect production, many parameters must be considered. Our piezoelectric dynamometers measure the cutting forces in research and development reliably and accurately during ongoing machining. The knowledge gained from the cutting force measurements is used to optimize tools and cutting processes.

For tool monitoring in production, we offer highly integrated force sensors as well as sensors for acceleration and acoustic emissions in the machining process. The measurement technology provides real-time insights that help improve the process, optimize tool life and control the process.
