Creating answers from a different perspective

It takes courage to approach things from a completely different perspective. As this requires breaking through old patterns to allow new ideas to emerge. I am convinced that questions like „what if...“ mark the beginning of every innovation. At Kistler, we consider it our task to make processes transparent and uncover new solutions.

Quartz crystal technology for the most challenging piezo dynamic force measurement applications
Making use of the piezoelectric effect

The first experiments to demonstrate the application of force to release charge from a quartz were carried out by Pierre and Jacques Curie in 1880. In 1950, Walter P. Kistler invented the first amplifier that made it possible to use the piezo effect for measurement purposes. This patented amplifier marked the beginning of Kistler.
