In the last years, requirements for vehicle tires have risen further, not least driven by the growth of electric mobility and stricter international norms. Especially regarding fully electric vehicles, the NVH topic plays a more important part: without the sound of the combustion engine, tire noise simply is more present.
Accuracy for tire NVH
At the upcoming Tire Technology Expo, the biggest European fair for tire technologies, we’ll present in detail how to measure NVH of tires with Kistler solutions. From accelerometers for vibration measurement to data acquisition through standard and customized force sensors for TPA (Transfer Path Analysis) and blocked force measurement – you’ll be able to address tire NVH challenges with the highest accuracy.
State-of-the-art systems for test stands and tracks
Performance, life time and wear of tires can be tested reliably and efficiently with test systems from Kistler. Sensors and multi-component measuring hubs from Kistler capture wheel forces, imbalances and vibrations precisely and efficiently – at the test stand as well as on the road. At TTE 2022 we’ll show you selected products from our sensor portfolio.
Ready to measure within seconds with the new autonomous wheel force transducer
Kistler pioneers again with the RoaDyn Racing wheel force transducer: The battery-driven measuring wheel with micro-controller and internal storage can be used stand-alone without cabling and telemetry connection to the vehicle. As a pre-series product, the RoaDyn Racing was already tested intensely in Formula E. The wheel force transducer – equipped with four high-precision strain gauge load cells and angle encoder – meets highest demands thanks to FE proven design and hexapod calibration – also at speeds up to 360 kph. Installation is done in less than a minute.
Whether it is NVH optimization, balancing, test drives or rolling resistance measurement at the test stand: Kistler offers precise, robust and comfortable measurement technology for efficient tire tests. Visit us at the Tire Technology Expo 2022 at booth 2012 – we’re looking forward to meeting you!
