The maritime industry is one of the most significant economic factors in Hamburg. So it is no wonder that the SMM, the maritime industry's leading international trade fair, takes place here every two years. It is one of the industry's main venues with more than 2,200 exhibitors from around the globe, around 50,000 trade visitors and 9,000 square meters of exhibition space. Kistler is presenting new cylinder pressure sensors to reliably and cost-effectively monitor marine and stationary engines on Booth 535, Hall A1 at the SMM 2018 from 4 to 7 September.
Cylinder pressure has to be permanently measured to increase engine efficiency and reduce emissions. It provides important information to let users optimize maintenance intervals, detect damage in advance, comply with emission threshold values and minimize fuel consumption.
Visitors to the Kistler booth at SMM 2018 can view the new cylinder pressure sensor type 6635A1, which has been specially developed to continuously measure cylinder pressure on medium-sized engines. Thanks to the new patented diaphragm and new connection technologies, the sensor is absolutely reliable and offers an exceptionally long service life. The piezoelectric link is highly stable: the output signal remains every exact and repeatable throughout the sensor's service life.
Another highlight on the Kistler booth is the piezoelectric sensor type 6019A, which is suitable for periodic cylinder pressure measurement on the indicator valves of medium to low speed engines. The new sensor offers very good thermodynamic accuracy.
Have we piqued your interest? We look forward to seeing you in Hall A1, Booth 535.
