- The recently-updated Lineas quartz WIM sensor 9195G is used for measuring wheel and axle loads and determining gross vehicle weight under rolling traffic conditions. Based on 20 years of proven WIM quartz technology, the OIML-certified sensor is installed permanently into the road pavement and provides highly accurate measurement signals, making it ideal for use in law enforcement. The updated sensor now features tire screening functionalities that can be added to new as well as to existing sites.
- The Lineas Compact sensor of type 9196 is a force sensor with quartz elements that has been specially designed for cost-efficient traffic data collection. In combination with the Kistler WIM Data Logger and associated WIM electronics, the sensor allows for the collection of wheel, axle and gross vehicle weight data, from which vehicle classification information can be derived. In addition to data collection, the sensor can also be used to determine if a particular site requires a more advanced WIM system, as it provides information on the volume of overweight trucks on the road.
- In addition to single components, Kistler offers complete and fully integrated traffic enforcement solutions as well: The KiTraffic Digital WIM system is particularly suitable for direct weight and tire enforcement of overloaded trucks. Driven by Lineas Digital sensors, its fully digitized measuring chain ensures ease of integration and operation. Based on advanced system architecture which enables calibration of every single quartz in the sensor, the system delivers uniform signals throughout the length of the sensing element, thus yielding highly accurate results - regardless of the vehicle's actual position.
