Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, evaluating and improving manufacturing and machine shop methods, equipment and materials. Will support and guide the machine shop with programming, set ups and tooling for CNC and Swiss Style Machines. The ME will analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements and workflow. They will design layouts of equipment and workspaces in conjunction with Kistler’s Lean Initiatives for maximum production efficiency.

The ME will work closely with engineering design staff in matters of production design, processes, tooling, materials and equipment to ensure efficient production methods.

Qualified candidates will have strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to work well within a team setting and deal with criticism and conflict. Must also be able to work independently and take personal responsibility for daily work activities and projects. Must possess good leadership skills, strong organizational and problem solving skills along with a working knowledge of software packages such as Microsoft Office, Project software, CAD, Solidworks, Pro-Engineering, SmartCam and be familiar with MRP/ERP systems.

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university in an appropriate engineering field. A minimum two to three years of related experience or equivalent training and experience is preferred. Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the US.
