Fakuma 2018

Fakuma is the world's leading trade event for industrial plastics processing. The trade fair in Friedrichshafen has always been a red-letter date in the Kistler Group's show calendar: this year, the measurement technology experts are presenting visitors their Industry 4.0 solutions, which are specially designed for plastics processing, at Booth 3104 in Hall A3. The presentation focuses on modularity: customers can put together exactly the package they need to enhance production transparency and efficiency.

At the Fakuma 2018, the Kistler Group experts are showing not one, but two modular and highly flexible solutions on their booth: one is a development of the ComoNeo process monitoring system, the other the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) in the starter and full versions.

ComoNeo: Basis of smart injection molding operations

The revised version of the ComoNeo process monitoring system is now available with seven different functions. Depending on their requirements, needs and know-how, users can put together a bespoke package including assistance, monitoring, control and prediction. Stasa QC software is now also integrated into the process monitoring system - representing a crucial edge for manufacturers of high quality components in safety-critical or medical engineering sectors. The software calculates component quality based on measurement values and statistical analyzes and evaluates them within the tolerance limits.

MES: Flexible approach to Industry 4.0

Another highlight presented by Kistler at the Fakuma is the modular MES. Thanks to different modules that can be combined with one another, this system ensures maximum transparency in connected injecting molding operations. Users enjoy the same benefit in this case, too: They choose the scale and complexity of the solution to suit their needs. Intuitive guidance helps smooth the way to Industry 4.0.
