Laboratory Charge Amplifiers with Integrated Data Acquisition for piezoelectric measurements – Kistler LabAmp

The Kistler LabAmp® 5165A and 5167A are universal laboratory charge amplifiers for measurement of force, acceleration, pressure, reaction torque and strain using piezoelectric sensors. The dual-mode charge amplifier 5165A measures dynamic PE and IEPE signals as well as static/dynamic voltage signals where the 5167A measures both quasi-static and dynamic signals from any piezoelectric sensor.

The Kistler LabAmp provides low-noise measurements with flexible signal conditioning as well as powerful data acquisition with high fidelity data directly to a host computer for further analysis.

Multiple LabAmp charge amplifiers can be connected and synchronized without any additional wires. For example, digitized quasi-static forces from a piezoelectric dynamometer can be simultaneously measured with dynamic IEPE accelerometers. This makes the LabAmp product family a modular data acquisition system.

The LabAmp 5167Ax1 charge amplifiers are particularly suitable for piezoelectric measurements with Kistler dynamometers and the data acquisition software DynoWare Type 2825A. Cutting forces or 6-component force-torque measurements in the laboratory as well as in research and development are examples where the 5167Ax1 fit perfectly.

Wheel force measurement on a tire test stand, reaction force measurements on engine-transmission units or monitoring of forces and torques in vibration tests are further applications where the 5167Ax1 shows its various strengths. Piezoelectric multi-component force sensors or even combined force-torque sensors like the new Type 9306A work reliably with the 5167Ax0.

Dedicated device for acceleration signals and other dynamic measurements

For vibration measurements, NVH testing or modal analysis using IEPE or charge accelerometers, the dynamic dual-mode charge amplifier LabAmp 5165A is the perfect choice.

Acceleration measurements in addition to multi-component force measurements can deliver further insightful information. Combine 5165A and 5167A devices to acquire perfectly synchronized signals conveniently in DynoWare, the Multi-device client SW or your own developed software.
