Change to Kistler Group’s business field management

Winterthur, January 14, 2014 - Dr.-Ing. Oliver Schnerr, Head of Sales of the Industrial Process Control (IPC) division, hands over the management of the Plastics strategic business field to Dr.-Ing. Robert Vaculik. Moving forward, Dr.-Ing. Oliver Schnerr will be overseeing the sales management of the IPC division from the Japan site, further strengthening Kistler's presence in Asia.

New dynamic

From January 2014, Dr. Vaculik will take over the management of the Plastics business field. With more than 20 years’ experience in plastics processing, Kistler has recruited an expert. Dr. Vaculik has previously held positions as a project and development manager in companies in the plastics processing industry, as well as the role of Powertrain business area manager of ITW Automotive Products. Shown by his success over the last five years as development manager at Montaplast GmbH in Morspach, Dr. Vaculik will bring out-standing professional expertise in the development and plastics technology areas of the automotive sector. The experience he has acquired in processing and the coordination of international projects in the USA, China, and India is invaluable to Kistler and emphasizes its position as a truly global player.

The management of the Plastics strategic business field at Kistler Group represents a new professional challenge for Dr. Vaculik. "I'm sure that 2014 will be an exciting and successful year for the Plastics business field," comments Dr. Vaculik. "Motivation, energy and exceptional teamwork are the basis for offering customers the technological advances to set themselves apart from the competition. Kistler strives to uphold this ethos and I am thoroughly excited to join an intense collaboration within the company and with our customers."

Strengthening our presence in Asia

From April 2014, Dr. Schnerr will continue to manage sales for the IPC division from Tokyo, Japan. He has been performing this role from the Winterthur site in Switzerland for the last two years, while also managing the Plastics business field. After 12 years in this business field, he's handing over management to Dr. Vaculik.

Kistler Group has strongly developed its presence in Asia in recent years, leveraging its undoubted status as a truly global business to ensure it maintains consistent customer services throughout Japan, India, Korea, and China. Dr. Schnerr, as the Head of Sales of the IPC division, will develop the sales organization on selected sites in Asia in order to strengthen activities in the respective markets. "Our clear aim is to establish a global, consistent standard which focuses on local customer requirements," says Dr. Schnerr. "We accompany our customers worldwide to all industry sites and provide expert advice and application-specific expertise on site."
