RV-5 Wheel vector sensors / 5349A

Thanks to magnetic encoders, the new RV-5 wheel vector sensor provides even more precise and robust measurements.

5349A

5349A RV-5 wheel vector sensors capture steer, camber and x/y/z wheel movements at 125 Hz with high precision for dynamic vehicle testing.
Main features / advantages
  • Complete acquisition of wheel movements (steer angle, camber, x/y/z) for full 3D kinematics
  • Robust design, resistant to splash water, engine oil and antifreeze
  • Easy and quick mounting via 4-point suction holder or collets
  • Expandable with slip-angle measurement option (e.g., Correvit SF series)
  • Five high-precision absolute angle transducers ensure accurate measurement
  • 125 Hz sampling rate for dynamic test-drive simulation
  • Optional force and speed integration with wheel-force and wheel-pulse transducers

The RV-5 is Kistler’s 5th generation wheel vector sensor for real-time measurement of wheel position and orientation relative to the vehicle chassis. It delivers true 5-axis data (X, Y, Z, camber, toe) using magnetic absolute encoder technology for improved signal quality and robustness. RV-5 is fully compatible with existing RV platforms and designed for demanding vehicle dynamics, ADAS, and durability testing.
