New plug-and-play piezoelectric force measuring chain with IO-Link for industrial manufacturing

Now, Kistler is offering a new plug-and-play measurement solution, suitable for many applications in industrial environments: the 9395A force measuring chain is made of a piezoelectric sensor, a highly flexible cable and a digital charge amplifier with IO-Link – all tried-and-tested components that bring precision and adaptability, enabling seamless integration and IIoT application in the process.

The 9395A piezoelectric force measuring chain comes as a pre-configured and calibrated solution, reducing commissioning and servicing efforts to a minimum. In addition to the calibrated complete measuring range – e.g., 0 to 1000 N – a second, customer-specific measuring range can be calibrated ex factory.

Force measurement with linearity error compensation to ensure accuracy and repeatability

By combining dynamic linearity error compensation with the consideration of static preload, force measurement remains highly accurate and repeatable – even under rapid load changes. The IO-Link interface makes IIoT integration simple – including quick identification and full traceability – all IO-Link parameters can also be locked if necessary.
