Stamping: The monitoring system KCA 400T from Kistler allows the use of analog sensors directly in the stamping tool.

KCA 400T

Stamping: The monitoring system KCA 400T allows the use of analog sensors directly in the stamping die.
Características/ventajas principales
  • 4 analog sensor inputs (0 … 10 V)
  • PNP output for downstream tool monitoring
  • Simple distance setting via visual indication on the display and “AUTOSET” function
  • The tolerance can be set separately for each sensor
  • Press does not start if sensors are not set correctly
  • Stroke-to-stroke control (actual / target value tracking)
  • Menu navigation via touch screen display
Continuous monitoring of production processes is an important aspect of process monitoring in stamping. The analog controllers KCA 400T reliably detect stamping waste in stamping processes and are the intelligent link between the sensors in the stamping die and the process monitoring on the machine control. They are based on the principle of proven double sheet control. In combination with analog sensors, the smallest stamping waste on the stamping strip can be precisely detected. The KCA 400T can be combined with all tool and process monitoring systems available on the market. This means that existing monitoring systems can be easily upgraded. Each KCA 400T only occupies one input, i.e. one digital process monitoring input becomes four analog measurement inputs. Applications: Typical applications are the detection of cyclical processes in the stamping die, such as double sheet control, tilt control or the height measurement of bends.
