Kistler expands U.S. footprint with new Irvine regional hub

Irvine, CA, November 2025 – Kistler Instrument Corporation, a global leader in dynamic test and measurement technology, has strengthened its long-term commitment to the United States by opening a new site in Irvine, California. The expansion strengthens Kistler’s ability to deliver advanced sensor and measurement solutions to high-impact industries on the West Coast, including MedTech, pharmaceutical, aerospace, defense and infrastructure maintenance.

The new site enables closer collaboration with manufacturers and innovators in one of the country’s most dynamic technology ecosystems. It serves as a regional hub for strategic partnerships, technical consulting, customer engagement, and local talent development: bringing Kistler’s global expertise directly to the West Coast.

"With our new Irvine hub, we’re closer to our customers and their challenges," said Kim Pfluger, General Manager North America. "It allows our engineers and experts to collaborate directly on solutions that improve quality, reliability, and performance across industries shaping the future.”

The Irvine regional hub
The Irvine hub is a center for hands-on training, knowledge sharing, and building partnerships with local industries and communities. These include MedTech, pharmaceutical, aerospace, defense and infrastructure maintenance, as well as universities and community organizations.

Irvine facility showcases advanced measurement technologies

The Irvine office provides a demonstration and collaboration space designed to give technicians, engineers and other professionals hands-on experience with Kistler’s sensors and measurement technologies. The facility includes dedicated areas for interactive workshops, technical training sessions, and joint solution development. It allows engineers and innovators to test, learn, and apply Kistler’s expertise directly to their processes.

Partnering with customers across industries

Advancements at Kistler are backed by the robust organization and partnerships that the company has built with business developers, sales operations, and local application experts, all working closely with customers to enhance responsiveness and technical support:

  • In MedTech, collaborations with industry leaders FIMMTECH and ARBURG, alongside a product refresher for Kistler’s digital platform AkvisIO, emphasize the critical role of monitoring production processes in highly regulated, zero-tolerance environments.
  • Kistler’s long-standing relationships with major players in aerospace and defense have supported exponential growth in emerging sectors like EVTOL and space startups.
  • For traffic and infrastructure, Kistler is introducing a new generation monitoring system that integrates Weigh in Motion with Structural Monitoring, which is vital for the protection and lifetime extension of California’s infrastructure, impacted by heavy truck traffic and seismic activity.

Driving innovation and collaboration

Looking ahead, Kistler is developing its Irvine presence as a platform for long-term investment, growth and innovation on the West Coast. Key efforts include forming strategic partnerships to provide customers with tailored, end-to-end solutions and collaborating with universities to promote engineering education and hands-on learning.

"Innovation thrives where knowledge is shared," Pfluger added. "That’s why our Irvine office is not just an office – it’s a hub that connects our experts, customers, and the next generation of engineers to drive real innovation across the West Coast.”
