Qu’est-ce qu’un angle de carrossage ?
The camber angle is a measurement of the centerline of a vehicle’s wheel (and tire) relative to the road surface, provided it is even. It is defined as the angle between the wheel and the car body. The dynamic camber or contact angle is the angle between the wheel and the road surface during movement (see illustration below). Camber angle is expressed in degree and has a heavy impact on the vehicle’s suspension design, on the grip of the tires as well as on its driving behavior such as steering, braking or acceleration. In passenger car and truck as well as racing applications, knowledge of camber angle is imperative.
