New platform for measurement data analysis and visualization workflows from Kistler: jBEAM Viewer

Winterthur, September 2026 – With jBEAM Viewer, Kistler introduces a software platform for measurement data analysis and visualization applications that enables the intuitive use of user-defined analysis workflows. The platform combines interactive visualization with guided analysis processes and makes them available throughout the organization. This allows even users without in-depth expertise to efficiently analyze complex measurement data.

In demanding industries such as automotive, aerospace, and medical technology, large volumes of measurement data are regularly generated. Analyzing this data requires expert knowledge in the use of appropriate and complex analysis software. The methods and processes used are often similar or repetitive. However, even for standardized measurement data analyses, multiple tools and steps are usually required. Templates derived from the sophisticated jBEAM measurement and test data analysis software, can significantly reduce the effort required for such processes and minimize the risk of errors.

Measurement data analysis and visualization for everyone – no programming required

To enable more efficient and widespread use of such templates in research and development within an organization, Kistler has developed the jBEAM Viewer software platform for user-defined measurement data analysis and visualization workflows. It not only visualizes measurement data and its analysis but also executes predefined analysis workflows as interactive applications. With its help, even users without specialized programming or software knowledge can analyze measurement data and derive well-founded results. Analysis tasks can thus be distributed more widely, and repetitive processes can be scaled and accelerated.

User-defined analysis and visualization workflows as interactive applications

The templates generated by the jBEAM measurement data analysis software – created either by a jBEAM expert from the customer or by Kistler – process measurement and test data in a specified manner and make them available for interactive use in jBEAM Viewer. Key parameters as well as the presentation of the measurement data can be adjusted within the selected data analysis.

Typical applications include recurring development routines, quality assurance, and end-of-line tests, as well as the general review and validation of measurement data within distributed teams. With jBEAM Viewer, even non-experts can configure and perform user-defined measurement data analyses within the specified framework without having to understand the methods in detail. Once developed, ready-made templates can be reliably reused anywhere and by any number of users.

Distribute expert knowledge in measurement data analysis within the organization

With jBEAM Viewer, interactive, executable measurement data analyses and visualization workflows can be made available across teams and locations. Looking ahead, Kistler plans to launch a marketplace for templates, allowing users to purchase them directly online and open them in jBEAM Viewer. This provides customers with the benefit of methodical, comparable, and reproducible measurement data analysis and interactive visualization, which makes development decisions more transparent and facilitates a broader discussion of the results.

Jan Schnabel, jBEAM Product Manager at Kistler, says: “With the jBEAM Viewer software platform, we’re providing development departments with a tool that enables them to distribute measurement data analysis and visualization more broadly across the team – on the one hand, to streamline routine tasks, and on the other, to foster greater participation and discussion regarding data analysis. This reduces reliance on expert knowledge and minimizes programming effort.”
