Electrical or mechanical quantity of a sensor, a measuring chain or, electrical device that represents the measurand and which is functionally related to it.

Note: Dependent on the sensor type and the device of indication, the measurement signal is presented in: pC, mV/V, mV, bar, N, N·m, mm, m/s², V, Hz, etc.

The term "Measurement signal" is equivalent to "Quantity of indications".
