Efficient Process and Production Analysis

Analysis of mold cavity pressure data enables processes to be evaluated and improved, as well as production facilities and their efficiency and process variations to be assessed. Both cavity pressure curves and derived data (such as maxima and integrals) can provide information about factors affecting the production process. In this way, random variation or systematic influences can be identified, and appropriate action can be taken to eradicate them.

Examples include the influence of changes in ambient temperature (e.g. day/night) or process variation caused, for instance, by an erroneous switchover point or an unbalanced mold. The efficiency of production batches in terms of the proportion of good parts produced permits an evaluation to be performed, and comparisons to be drawn between different production processes.
