Special - 50th Anniversary of Kistler

In celebrating our jubilee we look back – not without pride – on 50 exciting and successful years that saw our firm change from a small 2-man operation in a shoemaker’s workshop to a worldwide high-tech group.

For 50 years the development, production and use of high-quality measuring instruments has made our heart beat a little faster. And our fascination with the potential of the crystals at the heart of our piezoelectric sensors has led us to perfect this measurement technology. Our cutting-edge technology has given rise to a whole series of groundbreaking achievements that laid down milestones in our corporate history.

As a Swiss company, we set ourselves high objectives in continually opening up new fields of application. Our product portfolio now extends well beyond piezoelectric sensors to encompass complete measuring systems for a wide variety of sectors.

The start of our anniversary year already sees us celebrating the achievement of three more milestones embodied in our long-term strategy of continuous growth: the opening of the new sales company (Kistler Spain), acquisition of MSC Automotive GmbH and occupation of the new building in the grounds of our headquarters in Winterthur.

Although the world around us will continue to change in the coming 50 years, the values on which our business is built (such as our commitment to excellence and quality, and the close bond with our customers, partners and employees) will remain unchanged.
