RoaDyn® Wheel Force Transducers

RoaDyn^® single- and multicomponent wheel force transducers are high-performance, high-precision measuring instruments meeting the most stringent requirements of the international vehicle industry and its suppliers.

In long-term and durability testing over thousands of miles under a wide variety of climatic conditions, our wheel force transducers have demonstrated their longevity under the rigors of everyday use. Safety-critical components, such as hub and rim adapters, are used in conjunction with the transducer to replace the standard wheel. These components are manufactured to the highest quality for maximum customer safety in over-the-road testing.

RoaDyn P1 piezoelectric torque wheel force transducers help optimize the drive train and reduce driving resistance by reducing the measuring range by a factor of ten without compromising measuring accuracy and resolution. The measuring range can be adjusted to set the same measuring wheel to be used for braking torques on the vehicle.


Piezoelectric measurement can accurately capture dynamic processes of active electronic control systems (ABS, EBS,…) even in the maximum measuring range.

The handling characteristics of a vehicle are evaluated subjectively in an onroad test. RoaDyn S6/ P6 wheel force transducer help measure and objectively represent minute differences in the vehicle‘s tuning. Measurements of vehicle dynamics with different tires, chassis settings or components can then be more readily quantified.


Typical applications are driving dynamics, comfort testing, RLDA (Road Load Data Acquisition), NVH und tire development on the road.
