Single-Channel Connectors: Single-Wire Technology

Single-wire connectors offer a simplified installation and are recommended for most applications. The cable consists of a single wire that transmits the charge. The mold itself acts as the electrical shield. It is therefore important that the single-wire cable and the connector are routed and installed within the mold.

Single-Channel Connectors: Single-Wire Technology

In multicavity molds the installation is simplified with the 4-channel Type 1708A0 and 8-channel Type 1710A0 multichannel connectors. This space-saving method allows the use of multichannel extension cables that can be connected directly to monitoring equipment. Multichannel technology is therefore particularly suited for production molds. The practical Multi Sensor Set Type 6831B... with Unisens sensors is recommended for such application.

Single-Channel Connectors: Coaxial Technology

Coaxial cables are high-insulation cables and suited for special applications. They are selected if, for example, signal noise is anticipated or the cable has to be routed outside the mold. A range of cables with fixed standard lengths and integral connectors is available.

Temperature Amplifiers

Kistler’s extensive range of temperature sensors and combined pressure and temperature sensors includes the option of using a miniature temperature amplifier. Integration the temperature amplifier into the mold allows simpler transmission of signals to monitoring equipment. The Multi Sensor Set Type 6833A... is the most suitable multichannel solution for this purpose.
