Product Testing

This includes both routine in-process testing in automated production, which is smoothly integrated with process monitoring, and off-line quality control of random samples in the laboratory. Basically almost any sensor can be used for product testing, but smaller and smaller components and integration into production systems increasingly demand high sensitivity in a compact package. Kistler offers a series of sensors with properties that make them particularly suitable for this purpose.

Force sensor for small force

Measuring small forces from 0.001 N

Highly sensitive force sensors with specifically optimized properties are available for measuring small tensile and compressive forces Type 9217A in the range from –500 to 500 N. They are especially suitable for testing switches, plugs and springs. Our smallest model, the Type 9215, allows sensor arrays to be set up with a grid spacing of only 7.5 mm, for example for testing cellphone keypads.

Reaction Torque Sensor

Measuring small torques from 0.001 N·m

When testing potentiometers, ignition switches, screw caps, etc, very small torques have to be measured reliably and reproducibly. Our calibrated, flexibly adaptable reaction torque sensors are ideal for such tasks.
For the simultaneous testing of a reaction torque, combined e. g. with the plug-in or tear-out force, the 2 component sensor Type 9345B is suited at best.

Force Links

Tensile forces

The preloaded force links particularly lend themselves to measuring tensile forces, for example for testing plunger friction in medical syringes.

CoMo Viw for process monitoring

Process evaluation

Good/bad evaluation of parts is an integral part of product testing. For this purpose we offer a series of control monitors, from a simple model for individual workstations (Type 5875A) through to multi-channel systems, which can be configured with a web browser and offer data export via an Ethernet interface (Type 5863A1).
