New M5 Sensor for Monitoring Cylinder Pressure
Switzerland, 24.09.2008 Kistler's new piezoelectric Type 6351A1 offers a high-temperature M5 size pressure sensor with in-line charge amplifier and a robust, steel-sheathed cable.
The minimal dimensions of this sensor make it ideal for compact engines offering extremely limited mounting room. In addition to conventional mounting in the cylinder block, the sensor can even be integrated into engine components such as gas injection valves. With the new PiezoStar® crystal the sensor, despite its miniaturization, is very sensitive and can be used for knock control as well as monitoring thermodynamic parameters. The service life of the new Type 6351A1 is comparable with the tried and tested M10 monitoring sensor Type 6613C... . back
