Contact elements
Type 1712A… and
Type 1714A… provide the electrical connection between cables in different mold components. During mold assembly, these cables are connected via the contacts of both elements.
In contrast to conventional connection systems, contact elements facilitate the equipment of complex, state-of-the-art, modular injection molds with pressure sensor systems. This way, sensor cables need no longer be guided through several mold plates. The individual cables in the plates lead to contact elements, which are automatically connected during installation. Damaged cables or time-consuming and costly, complicated handling of cables during sensor and mold installation are a thing of the past.
Depending on the number of cavities, 1-channel or 4-channel elements are supported. 4 channel elements allow the transmission of up to four sensor signals within one contact element. Single-Wire cables simply plug into contact elements.
Background: the Cavity Pressure CurveIn injection molding, the cavity pressure curve serves as the fingerprint for the forming of molded parts and is the most significant value for the assessment of part quality.
