Modal Analysis

Img_clearpixel

Modal analysis is an experiment method of investigating the oscillation behaviour of component structures. It is used to record, analyse and evaluate natural frequencies and oscillation forms and to optimise component structure. For example, the simulation of frequencies that affect components of a force measurement platform can be used to determine the natural frequencies of the measurement system in relation to mass, rigidity and damping. The aim of modal analysis is to design the measurement system in such a way that, during the recording of data, no resonance oscillations occur in a given frequency range that could distort the measurement signal.
